Oak & Rose Counselling is building a specialized, bilingual mental health practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals and their families, and underserved communities across Northern Ontario. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate, trauma-informed care, regardless of where they live. Our vision is to become a leading provider of counselling, education, consulting, and wellness programming across Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario. As we grow, we are seeking passionate clinicians who want to make a meaningful impact while building fulfilling and sustainable careers.

Our Areas of Focus

We are particularly interested in connecting with clinicians who have experience or training in: EMDR and trauma therapy, Eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, anxiety and depression, women's mental health, youth and adolescent mental health, French-language counselling, BIPOC-informed and culturally responsive care, Indigenous mental health and community-based practice.

I grew up in a small community in Northwestern Ontario, and I understand firsthand the unique challenges that come with accessing mental health care in rural and remote regions. Too often, people are forced to make difficult choices in order to receive support. They may have to leave their community, travel long distances, seek services in a language that is not their own, or work with providers who may not fully understand their culture, identity, lived experience, or community context.

In many ways, people are asked to leave part of themselves behind in order to access care.

I created Oak & Rose Counselling because I believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate, and culturally responsive mental health services without sacrificing who they are or where they come from.

My vision is to build a practice that increases access to specialized care across Northern Ontario while creating opportunities for clinicians to build meaningful and sustainable careers in the communities they call home. We are committed to ensuring that individuals can access support that honours their language, culture, identity, values, and lived experiences.
