Oak & Rose Counselling acknowledges the Indigenous lands on which we live and work, and honours the First Nations and Métis Peoples of these territories, past, present and future. Our Thunder Bay office is in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, the traditional territory of Fort William First Nation. Our Longlac office is in the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people of Long Lake #58 First Nation and Ginoogaming First Nation. Long Lake #58 lies within the geographic boundaries of the Robinson-Superior Treaty of 1850 and has never signed a treaty with the Crown. Ginoogaming First Nation is a signatory to Treaty 9. Our Hearst office is in Treaty 9 territory, the traditional territory of Ojibwe/Chippewa, Oji-Cree, Mushkegowuk (Cree), Algonquin and Métis peoples. We also recognize the ongoing harms of anti-Black racism and commit to anti-racist, equity-centered care.
